First, without taking hands, they all arrange themselves
like a mezza luna.
dipoi quello che e aman' stancha facci dua doppi i(n) uolta e
prima sulla man stancha dipoi i(n)sulla ritta
Then he who is at the left hand does
two doppi turning and first on the
left hand then on the right.
e dipoi dia la man' ritta alla donna e lei alui ecosi presi
p(er) mano girino atondo tre trapassini et un passo ciaschuno
p(er)o tornando al luogo suo.
And then he gives his right hand to the lady, and she to him,
and thus holding hands they rotate around [with] three
trapassini and
a passo, but with each one
returning to his place.
Et la donna subito ch(e) a, fatto q(uest)o lasci con la man'
ritta lhuomo e alaltro ch(e) alei e, aman' ritta dia la
man' mancha et lui alei et girino i(n)sieme i(n) uolta p(er) presi
p(er) [sic] mano tre trapassini et un' passo e, ciascuno torni al
luogo suo
And the lady, immediately after doing this, releases the man
with the right hand and to the other who is on her right
hand, she gives her left hand, and he to her, and they
rotate together turning [sic], holding hands, [with] three
trapassini and
a passo, and each one returns to
his place.
dipoi tutti atre i(n)sieme faccino una reuerenza
Then all three together do a reuerenza.
Dipoi escha quello che e ama(n) mancha che fu il primo e
faccia dua scempi ritirandosi quasi i(n)contro alla donna
Then he who is on the left hand, who was the first, leaves,
and does two scempi, withdrawing
a bit opposite the lady,
e co(n) 4 passetti la uadia atrouare
and with 4
passetti
he goes to meet her,
e porgagli la mano dritta et ella alui ensieme [sic] presi p(er)
mano, si faccino una reuerenza
and holds out his right hand to her and she to him.
Holding hands, together they do
a reverenza.
dipoi lascinsi e la donna stia ferma et lui torni

Then they let go of each other, and the lady holds still, and he
turns back with two scempi,
e tirisi uerso il compagnio et alui ne uadia co(n) 4
passetti
and he withdraws towards his companion, and his companion to
him, and goes to him with 4 passetti,

and gives him his hand, and holding hands they do a
reverenza one by one.
dipoi lascinsi el compagnio stia fermo e lui torni adreto dua scempi
Then they let go of one another, and the companion holds
still, and he returns back with two scempi
et co(n) 4 passetti uadia acanto al compagnio disotto cioe
mettendolo nel mezzo.
and with 4 passetti he goes below
his companion, that is, putting him in the middle.

Dipoi la donna che resta ama(n) stancha entri faccendo la
treccia di cinque trapassini et u(n) passo tornando pero
glihomini e la donna onde si partirono q(ua)n(do) i(n)cominciorono
la trecca [sic].
Then the lady who remains on the left hand enters, doing the
treccia of
five trapassini and
a passo, but with the men and the
lady returning to whence they departed when they began the
treccia.
dipoi tutti atre insieme faccino la reuerenza
Then all three together do
the revere(n)za.
Dipoi trouandosi la donna la prima aman stancha d(e)bbe
i(n)cominciare edoppi i(n) uolta col dar la mano seguitando
lordine del primo et finito che ha la donna di fare q(ue)llo
che fatto ha il primo
Then with the lady finding herself in the first position on
the left hand must begin the doppi
turning, by giving her hand, following the order of the
first, and until the lady has done what the first did.
quello che il primo era aman ritta al cominciar d(e)l ballo si

He who was on the right hand at the beginning of the dance
will find himself in the first position on the left hand,
Ecosi lui anchora debbe fare il medesimo che ha fatto il
compagnio e, la donna i(m)modo che ciascuno habbi fatto
la parte sua e cosi fatto questo ciaschuno si ritrouerra i(n)
quel luogo oue si trouaua q(ua)n(do) s'incomincio il ballo.
And thus he also must do the same that his companion and the
lady did, in such a way that each one will have done his
part and done in such a way that each one will find himself
in the place where he found himself at the beginning of the
dance.
