In prima piglinsi p(er) mano et i(n)sieme faccino le
le continenze dua scempi e 4 passetti
First, they take each other by the hand, and together they
do the continenze,
two sempi, and
4 passetti.
dipoi la donna si uolti e faccino i(n) dreto cinque passettini e, ferminsi
Then the lady turns and they do
five passettini backwards, and they
stop.
e la donna facci una reuerenza col pie mancho aq(ue)llo
che glie i(n) sulla ma(n) ritta
And the lady does a reverenza on
the left foot to him who is on her right hand,
et lui gli risponda con una reuerenza col pie ritto
and he responds with a reverenza
with the right foot.
dipoi lei si uolti aquel altro
e faccino la riuerenza col pie ritto
Then she turns to the other and they do
a reverenza with the right foot.
dipoi tutti atre faccino u(n) doppio i(n) uolta a man ritta
Then all do a doppio turning to the right hand.
La donna dipoi si uolti aquello che gli e ama(n) ritta e,
diensi la man ritta e faccino tre passi co(n) una ripresa et
ciascuno co(n) altri tre passi torni al luogo suo
The woman then turns to him who is at her right hand, and
they give right hands to each other and do
three passi with
a ripresa; and each returns to his
place with another three passi.
dipoi si uolti la do(n)na aquelaltro e dandosi la man mancha
faccino quel medesimo
Then the lady turns to the other man, and giving left hands,
they do the same thing.
dipoi fanno una reuerenza come disopra
Then they do a reverenza as above.
dipoi faccino il [sic] doppio i(n) uolta aman ritta tutti atre
et i(n) u(n) tempo medesimo
Then all three do the doppio turning
to the right hand, and in the
same tempo.
Dipoi si muouino tutti atre e faccino dua passi
un trapassino e, tre passi p(er) il diritto della sala
Then they all three together move and do
two passi,
a trapassino, and
three passi through the middle of
the room.
et la donna passa p(er) il mezzo di loro faccendo il medesimo
And the lady passes through their midst doing the same thing.
et uoltandosi le facce tutti atre faccino le riprese
And turning their faces, all three together do
the riprese.
dipoi una reuerenza p(er)uno come disopra
then a reverenza one by one as
above,
et un doppio i(n) uolta i(n) sulla ma(n) ritta tutti i(n)sieme
and a doppio all together turning
to the right hand.
Dipoi si muouino tutti atre e faccino tre passi
i(n)trauerso p(er) uno
Then all three move and do
three passi in traverso,
one by one.
e uoltinsi e faccino un doppio i(n)anzi cioe tre passi
contro si luno alaltro
And they turn and do a doppio
forwards, that is, three passi
opposite one another.
dipoi faccino una reuerenza e u(n) doppio i(n) uolta co(m)e
disop(ra).
Then they do a reverenza and
a doppio in volta, as above.
Dipoi seguita la treccia di otto trapassini
oue ogniuno torna al luogo suo
entrando due uolte p(er) uno
Then follows the treccia of eight
trapassini where each one returns
to his place, entering twice, one by one.
e debbi auertire i(n) q(uest)a trecca [sic]
che la donna uadi semp(re) dreto
aq(ue)llo glie ama(n) ritta
And I must point out that in
this treccia, the lady goes behind
the man on her right hand.
e fatta la treccia si ritrouerranno i(n) triangolo come prima
And the treccia being done,
they end up in a triangle as at first.
dipoi faccino le riuerenze come disop(ra)
Then they do the reverenza as
above.
dipoi la do(n)na facci u(n) dopio i(n) uolta ama(n) ritta
Then the lady does a doppio turning
to the right hand,
et i(n) q(uest)o medesimo tempo gli huomini si partino
co(n) tre passi et mettinla nel mezzo
and in that same tempo, the men
depart with three passi and place her
in their midst.
