tutti atre i(n)sieme le ballano
You ought to know that those who dance this, dance the three
parts [of the dance] all three [dancers] together.
e prima aconcinsi i(n) triangolo
And first they arrange themselves in a triangle.
e faccino una reuerenza
And they do a reverenza.
dipoi tre passi i(n)trauerso e semp(re) i(n) triangolo
Then three passi in traverso,
and still in a triangle.
dipoi la uolta de tromboni cioe col pie ritto i(n)sieme co(n) la
sua ripresa ama(n) ritta
Then the volta di Tromboni,
that is, with the right foot,
together with its ripresa to the right hand.
dipoi faccino dua scempi i(n)controsi luno alaltro dimodo che
tanto si ritrouino acosto che si piglino tutti p(er) mano e
faccino una reuerenza
Then they do two sempi opposite one another,
in such a way that
as soon as they find themselves side by side,
they all take one another by the hand
and do a reverenza.
e dipoi faccino dua scempi i(n)dreto e la uolta
And then they do two sempi backwards,
and the volta.
e dipoi cosi come i(n) triangolo si ritrouano
faccino tre trapassini
e u(n) passo e la riuere(n)za
And then, as they end up in a triangle again,
they do three trapassini
and a passo and the reverenza.
Faccino dipoi tre passi i(n)trauerso e la do(n)na faccendo isua
passi i(n)trauerso passi p(er) il mezzo delli huomini e uada
adiritto et eglino similme(n)te uadino i(n)contro a la do(n)na
similmente adiritto cioe
Ma auertisci che q(ua)n(do)
d(ei) detti 3 passi i(n)trauerso
ne hanno fatti dua che si d(e)bbano uoltare il uiso
et il 3o farlo i(n) triangolo
Then they do three passi in traverso,
and the lady, doing her passi in traverso,
passes through the midst of the men,
and goes straight,
and similarly, they go opposite the lady,
similarly straight, that is.
But notice that when they have done
two of the 3 passi in traverso,
they must turn their faces,
and do the third one in(to?) a triangle.
e fatto ch(e) hanno questo faccino la uolta d(e) tromboni cioe
col pie ritto e co(n) la sua ripresa lunga i(n) sul lato ritto
And when they have done this,
they do the volta di Tromboni,
that is, with the right foot, and with its long ripresa on
the right side.
et aquesto seguitino tutti come finque faccendo
una reuerenzetta i(n)anzi et una adreto et u(n) doppio i(n) uolta ama(n) mancha
And upon this they all continue,
so that they do a riverenzetta
forwards and one backwards,
and a doppio turning to the left hand.
dipoi faccino una riuerenzetta i(n)anzi col pie ritto
et col medesimo pie una adreto e, aman ritta
un doppio i(n) uolta e sappi ch(e) sempre si ritrouano i(n) triangolo
Then they do a riverenzetta forwards with the right foot,
and one backwards with the same foot,
and to the right hand, a doppio turning.
And know that they always end up in a triangle.
et cosi seguitino di fare tre trapassini e u(n) passo e una
reuerenza
And thus they continue by doing three trapassini
and a passo and a reverenza.
Seguitano dipoi fare tre passi i(n) trauerso simili a quegli
che feciano i(n) la 2da parte cioe poi ch(e) fatti ne hanno dua
adiritto si uoltino efaccino il 3o i(n) triangolo come disop(ra)
Then they continue by doing three passi in traverso,
similar to those which they did in the second part,
that is, when they will have done two of them straight,
they turn and do
the third in(to?) a triangle, as above.
seguitano faccendo la uolta di tromboni co(m)e disopra e la
sua ripresa lunga i(n) sul lato ritto come disop(ra)
They continue by doing
the volta di Tromboni, as above,
and its long ripresa on the right side, as above.

They end up in a triangle,
and the lady facing the men, and the men her,
and they all do two sempi.
eseguitino e faccino 4 passetti e passinsi e la do(n)na p(er) il
mezzo di loro et nel passarsi debbano darsi la mana
And they continue, and do 4 passetti,
and they pass one another,
and the lady through their midst, and in passing one another,
they must give their hands to one another.
e uoltinsi il uiso et il medesimo fanno unaltra uolta
i(n)modo ch(e) uengano a tornare aluogi loro
And they turn their faces, and they do the same another time,
in such a way that they come to return to their places.
dipoi come di sopra fanno i(n)triangolo 3 trapassini et u(n)
passo e una reuerenza
Then as above, they do in a triangle 3 trapassini
and a passo and a reverenza.
Seguita aqueste tre parte la fine oue la do(n)na

ciascuno tornando al luogo suo
There follows upon these three parts the ending,
where the lady must give her right hand
to him who is on her right hand,
and he to her, and thus holding hands,
they rotate with three trapassini and a passo,
each one returning to his place.
dipoi uoltisi la donna aquello d(e)lla ma(n) mancha et secho [sic]
faccia 3 trapassini et u(n) passo e sempre si ritrouano

Then the lady turns to him on her left hand,
and she does 3 trapassini and a passo,
and they always end up in a triangle.

possano pigliar p(er) mano
And they do thus towards one another
two sempi in the middle,
in such a way that they end up
so much beside one another
that they can take hands.

And they take one another [by the hand],

And then they do two sempi back,
and the volta di Lasso.
